The Flag Was Too Small, But I’m Not

There comes a point on the healing path where you don’t just want change.

You want witnessing.

You want something tangible that says:

“You’re here. You exist. You matter.”

That’s what the birthday flag represented.

ree

But when it arrived smaller than expected, I had to decide:

Will I let the size of a symbol dictate the size of my spirit?

And the answer is:

Hell no.

Because I’m not here to fit inside your yard decor.

I’m here to reclaim the fullness of my being.

To light the candles. To wear the crown.

To show up not with proof—but with presence.

The flag was too small.

But I?

I’ve outgrown the need for smallness entirely.

So here’s your reminder:

You don’t need a flag to validate your value.

Your breath is evidence.

Your joy is protest.

Your existence is a miracle in motion.

Celebrate accordingly.
